Does not seem like a lot of progress this week but the drainage etc seems to be ready. I suspect next will be the wafflepods, laying down the hydronic heating and the slab.

Building has commenced
With the markings in place, the machines were due in on Thursday 21 June. So the family and Firas from Nablus got together for a sod-turning ceremony.
We had to get Afzal to the ANU so we took this photo before Mizaan could get there from work.
Mizaan for his photo-shoot - looking very dapper.
On Saturday 23 June Jumanah and I visited the site after her soccer game to see the commencement of the laying of the drainage pipes and preparation for the footings.

Our Architect
Just realised that we haven't yet mentioned who our architect is. For the last 18 months we have been working with Geoff Driscoll Architects in Kambah. Geoff and his team (particularly Alex Slater) have taken our initial ideas and formed them into a house that we finally want to make into reality.
